Business Analyst to analyse developments in the European energy system

Can
you provide expert guidance on energy trends to one of the leading green energy
companies in Northern Europe? 
 
Join us and become a Business Analyst in
Analysis & Modelling where you’ll be responsible for analysing the
long-term development of the European energy systems. The team consists of
seven economists and engineers, who are responsible for developing and running our
company’s long-term power market models. The results are used in business cases
related to our wind power and bioenergy assets and in financial forecasts. Analysis
& Modelling is part of the Finance department.  
 
Your
key tasks will be to 
  • analyse and forecast key trends in the European energy systems 
  • update our long-term European electricity price forecasts, including reviewing the input data for the models 
  • prepare PowerPoint presentations of analysis results towards senior management 
  • cooperate with internal stakeholders in discussing and analysing key issues. 
 
Your competences include
that you 
  • have a master’s degree in either engineering or economics 
  • have experience with mathematical modelling and especially mathematical optimisation models 
  • are analytically strong and have a flair for working with complicated analytical challenges 
  • speak and write English fluently. 
 
Knowledge about analysis of energy systems will
be an advantage.

daily work independently, work systematically, show responsibility and deliver
high-quality solutions. In addition, you have a results-oriented and
value-adding approach to your work. Finally, you can create results through
teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.
